Approximately 1880 candidates (1490 boys and 390 girls) will be called for the screening. The exact schedule of the screening at AFMC, Pune along with the details of the shortlisted candidates will be available on the website: www.afmcdg1d.gov.in and www.afmc.nic.in Request for change of date of interview will NOT be entertained except under extreme circumstances.
· The shortlisted candidates will be called for screening which comprises of Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview and Medical Examination at AFMC, Pune. (b) Test of English Language Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) will be in the form of Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 MCQs of 2.0 marks each amounting to a maximum of 80 marks and will be held at AFMC, Pune. There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer. These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 minutes. The marks obtained in ToELR will be added to the NEET score to give the final written examination score.
· (c) This will be followed by an interview of 50 marks. In addition to the core subjects, the candidates will be interviewed on general awareness and knowledge, interests, hobbies and personality by a panel of judges. Due weightage will be given to candidates for participation in NCC/Sports at various levels and for wards of Officers/JCOs/ORs who are serving/Ex Serviceman/Killed in action. The final merit will be based on the final score thus obtained (Written examination score + Interview marks + ToELR). Psychological Assessment Test (PAT) is a qualifying examination and PAT score will not be considered for preparing final merit list.
· (d) Medical Examination: All candidates will be subjected to medical examination as per the requirement of the Armed Forces and as per the laid down standards. The details of the same are given at Paragraphs 43 to 46. The candidates who have been declared medically unfit by the Medical Board of AFMC will not figure in the final merit list for admission.
· (e) The final result of the selected Merit List and Wait-list candidates would be available on the DGAFMS official website: www.afmcdg1d.gov.in and www.afmc.nic.in
· The candidates will be required to produce originals of all certificates/mark-sheets, NEET UG - 2023 admit card (hall ticket), NEET UG-2023 score card and original certificate of NCC, Sports certificate at school, District, State & National /International level, if any, at the time of the screening at AFMC Pune. All candidates will produce result or proof of having appeared in the qualifying examination, at the time of screening (if the result of such examination has not been declared). Original mark sheet & pass certificate of qualifying examination, however will have to be produced before admission.
· based on the NEET UG – 2023 score and screening at AFMC, two merit lists, one for boys and one for girls, will be drawn up and admissions will be offered only to these shortlisted candidates in accordance with their final merit position. The remaining candidates will be on the waiting list. The result will be displayed on the websites stated above and at Admission Cell, AFMC Pune.
· Candidates admitted to AFMC for MBBS course have a compulsory liability to serve as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The offer of the type of commission will depend upon the vacancies available and shall be determined on merit-cum-option at the final MBBS examination. The liability of the SSC officers passing out of AFMC to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) would be 7 (seven) years. The Permanent Commission (PC) Officers will have to serve in AFMS till date of superannuation. Complete details of Service Liability & Bond Agreement will be given to the candidates shortlisted for the screening.

Eligibility for NEET- PG At the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune:
NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for admission to various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, etc. in India.
The eligibility criteria for NEET-PG admission at Armed Forces Medical College for 2024-25 are as follows:
· Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognized medical college or university.
· Candidates should have completed their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31st March of the year in which they are appearing for NEET-PG.
· Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council (SMC).

NEET PG Counselling Process 2023 for Armed Forces Medical College, Pune
: MCC holds online counselling for 50% of All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats, MCC usually conducts counselling for the following:
All India Quota seats: 50%
Central Universities All India Quota and Institutional seats: 100%
Deemed Universities: 100%
Employee State Insurance Corporation AIQ seats: 50%
All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions: Only the Registration part
Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, BRIMS & RML Hospital and ESIC Institute, 50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University
As per the notification issued by the MCI for common counselling. there will be four rounds of counselling i.e., Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 & Stray Vacancy Round for the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, which will be conducted by the MCC. Candidates should have qualified NEET PG 2023 and it is a domicile-free process.
· After the last date of registration, list of candidates who have applied for AFMC, Pune will be provided by DGHS. The NEET Roll No. of the candidates who are shortlisted for the screening at AFMC, Pune based on merit will be displayed on the website. Approximately 1880 candidates (1490 boys and 390 girls) will be called for the screening. The exact schedule of the screening at AFMC, Pune along with the details of the shortlisted candidates will be available on the website: www.afmcdg1d.gov.in and www.afmc.nic.in Request for change of date of interview will NOT be entertained except under extreme circumstances.
· The shortlisted candidates will be called for screening which comprises of Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview and Medical Examination at AFMC, Pune. (b) Test of English Language Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) will be in the form of Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 MCQs of 2.0 marks each amounting to a maximum of 80 marks and will be held at AFMC, Pune. There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer. These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 minutes. The marks obtained in ToELR will be added to the NEET score to give the final written examination score.
· (c) This will be followed by an interview of 50 marks. In addition to the core subjects, the candidates will be interviewed on general awareness and knowledge, interests, hobbies and personality by a panel of judges. Due weightage will be given to candidates for participation in NCC/Sports at various levels and for wards of Officers/JCOs/ORs who are serving/Ex Serviceman/Killed in action. The final merit will be based on the final score thus obtained (Written examination score + Interview marks + ToELR). Psychological Assessment Test (PAT) is a qualifying examination and PAT score will not be considered for preparing final merit list.
· (d) Medical Examination: All candidates will be subjected to medical examination as per the requirement of the Armed Forces and as per the laid down standards. The details of the same are given at Paragraphs 43 to 46. The candidates who have been declared medically unfit by the Medical Board of AFMC will not figure in the final merit list for admission.
· (e) The final result of the selected Merit List and Wait-list candidates would be available on the DGAFMS official website: www.afmcdg1d.gov.in and www.afmc.nic.in
· The candidates will be required to produce originals of all certificates/mark-sheets, NEET UG - 2023 admit card (hall ticket), NEET UG-2023 score card and original certificate of NCC, Sports certificate at school, District, State & National /International level, if any, at the time of the screening at AFMC Pune. All candidates will produce result or proof of having appeared in the qualifying examination, at the time of screening (if the result of such examination has not been declared). Original mark sheet & pass certificate of qualifying examination, however will have to be produced before admission.
· based on the NEET UG – 2023 score and screening at AFMC, two merit lists, one for boys and one for girls, will be drawn up and admissions will be offered only to these shortlisted candidates in accordance with their final merit position. The remaining candidates will be on the waiting list. The result will be displayed on the websites stated above and at Admission Cell, AFMC Pune.
· Candidates admitted to AFMC for MBBS course have a compulsory liability to serve as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The offer of the type of commission will depend upon the vacancies available and shall be determined on merit-cum-option at the final MBBS examination. The liability of the SSC officers passing out of AFMC to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) would be 7 (seven) years. The Permanent Commission (PC) Officers will have to serve in AFMS till date of superannuation. Complete details of Service Liability & Bond Agreement will be given to the candidates shortlisted for the screening.
