Anand Agricultural University (AAU), formerly known as Gujarat Agricultural University (GAU), is a State University, established in 2004, affiliated to The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, recognized by UGC, located in the Anand city of Gujarat State. The university was called as a dream institution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr. K.M.Munshi. The University is well known for making a partnership between the villagers and interested students as the basic needs for rural development. AAU arranges various programs to create a working structure to develop economics independence in the rural area. The activities of AAU’s are expanded in numerous commodity genres such as soil health card, bio-diesel, medicinal plants apart beside important like rice, maize, Bidi & tobacco, vegetable crops, fruit crops, forage crops, animal breeding, nutrition, and dairy products, etc. The university provides many undergraduate, postgraduate and polytechnic programs in various colleges.
