All India Institute of Medical Sciences (also known as AIIMS Delhi) is one of the foremost Indian medical institutes. Established in 1956 as an Institution of National Importance by an Act of Parliament, it has consistently secured rank 1 third time in a row in the NIRF 2020, 2019 and 2018 under the ‘Medical’ category. It is facilitated to offer medical and para-medical courses at undergraduate and post-graduate level owing to its comprehensive facilities available for teaching, research as well as patient care.

At present, AIIMS Nursing admission 2021 is underway and the last date for application is May 12, 2021. It awards students with degrees across 43 disciplines and works in collaboration with various foreign universities to further expand opportunities for joint research, student and faculty exchange programmes. AIIMS Delhi operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is governed by the AIIMS Act, 1956.

At present, there are 15 AIIMS in India and AIIMS Delhi was the first institute of this group to be established in India. In 2019, AIIMS Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University College London to enable research collaborations and increase the number of academic and student exchange between the two institutions.
