What is the eligibility required for the B.Tech Civil Engineering course?
The students who are planning to take admission into the civil engineering program should make sure that they meet all the requirements of the program. If the candidate fulfils all the requirements of the course, he/she will be allowed to take admission and if he/she doesn't meet all the requirements, they will not get admission. The detailed basic eligibility criteria of the program are provided below for the students. The eligibility criteria might vary from college to college.
- The student should have qualified for his/her Class 12th Examination from a recognised Board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subjects.
- The student should have secured at least 45% marks in the examination (in the case of the general category and 40% marks in the case of the SC/ST/PWD category).
- The student's age should not be more than 25 years in the case of general category and 30 years in the case of the SC/ST/PWD category.
- The student should have qualified the relevant entrance examination. Some institutes conduct their own entrance exam while some accept national-level entrance examination marks.
